Admission
Procedure
Kindergarten
Children, who have attained the age of 4 as on the 1st of June of the
year of admission, will be admitted in the KG section. Parents should
register their children for admission in the KG, in the prescribed
form. Forms are available in the school office. A photocopy of the
birth certificate of the child should be submitted along with the
completed application form. Age, ability and conduct of the pupil will
be the criteria for admission. The management reserves the right to
grant or deny any request for admission.
Devamatha CMI Public School organizes a one-week Acclimatization
Programme before the regular classes begin in order to familiarize the
child to school atmosphere.
Secondary School Level
A student should be aged 6 as on 1st June of the year of admission. A
photocopy of the birth certificate of the child should be submitted
along with the completed application form. Age, ability and conduct of
the pupil will be the criteria for admission. Admission to all other
classes is granted on merit, after the test and interview of the
candidate. Parents should be present at the time of the interview.
Senior Secondary Level
Admissions are based purely on merit and the admission procedure
involves an aptitude test and interview. Students are ranked for
admission by giving
weightage
to AISSE/ICSE/SSLC marks (90%), Aptitude test (5%) and Interview and
extra-curricular activities (5%). The Aptitude tests include questions
related to reasoning ability, mental ability, language proficiency
etc. Application forms can be
filled and downloaded from the school home page after the results
or can be collected from the school office.
After the publication of the results of AISSE/ICSE/SSLC, intimated
candidates have to undergo an aptitude test and an interview. Selected
candidates will be enrolled provisionally in the school after paying
the entire fee. The final confirmation will be given after the
verification of the certificates.
