One Day Workshop
A workshop was conducted by Insight Avenue, a human
resource development organization, for the
teachers on 3.5.2007. The resource person, Prof. Rouble Raj
talked to the teachers on self-effectiveness, the need to become role
models, how to identify the students & to win their hearts, how to
improve listening & communication
skills etc. His evaluation about the staff of Devamatha was even more boosting.
TDCSA Workshop
Devamatha School hosted this year`s TDCSA
workshop on New Curriculum for teachers of Std. X and XII . Nearly 150 teachers
from Std XII and 160 teachers from Std. X of various CBSE schools of Trichur
district attended the workshop conducted on 4th & 5th
of May, 2007. Separate classes in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics,
Economics and Accountancy were held for the teachers of Std XII.Classes in English, Mathematics and Science and
technology were conducted for teachers of
Std X. The resource persons were all eminent personalities in the field
of education. They are

Abdul Rahim, Vice Principal, Sindhi Model Higher Secondary School, Chennai
(Chemistry);
Mr. Margrett David Raj, Principal, Bhakthavalsalam Senior Secondary School,
Chennai (Biology); Mr. Sathiamoorthy,
Principal, Chinmaya Vidhyalaya, Chennai (Maths); Mr. Ajeeth Prasath Jain, Principal,
Rajaji Vidhyasram, Chennai (Maths); Dr. Nathan Principal,
Balamandir School, Chennai (English);
Mrs. Mohana, Principal, Modern Senior Secondary School, Chennai (Accountancy); Mrs. Jayanthi, Principal (Retd.), Chinmaya
Vidyalaya, Chennai (Economics); The
participants were of the opinion that they benefited abundantly from the workshop.
