All faculty members are encouraged to upgrade their skills and update their knowledge constantly. This is achieved by deputing them to refresher courses, workshops both within and outside the country. It is mandatory for all teachers to undergo at least 20 days of training every year in areas such as teaching methodologies, use of technology and other related subjects.

In-service programmes conducted by the Thrissur Sahodaya in co-operation with the CBSE resource personals in various subjects are annually attended by the staff.

Workshops conducted by the Oxford University Press and the ETNL were attended by the English Teachers to equip themselves in using various methodologies to be adopted in the English class rooms.
