3rd Devamatha South India Inter-School Basketball Tournament-2011

The 3rd Devamatha South India Inter-school Basketball Tournament,2011 was conducted in the school on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of December 2011. The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. P.M. Francis, District Collector, Thrissur. The tournament was also blessed with presence of Rev. Dr. Paul Achandy CMI, Provincial, Devamatha Province, Mr. Eutric Pereira, International Basketball player, Mr. P.J. Sunny, Indian Basketball Selection Committee Chairman and Mrs. Smini Shiju, Ward Member . We had also the presence of other celebrities Mr. Sunny Thomas, International Basketball player on 3rd December, 2011. Mr. I.P. Paul, Honourable Mayor, Thrissur. Mr. Debash Kumar Behra IPS, District Police Chief, Thrissur, Rural, Commandant Mathew Varghese, 148, BN(BSF), Mr. Vivek (International Basketball player and Rev. Fr. Jolly Maliakal CMI, Councillor for Education Devamatha Province.
There were twelve boys teams and nine girls, teams, the star contenders. The tournament was conducted from 7.30 a.m. to 10.00 pm and 4.30 pm to 10.00 pm on 1st December, 6.30 a.m. to 9.00 am and 5.30 pm to 9.00 p.m. on 2nd and 7.00 am to 9.30 am and 5.30 to 8.30 pm on 3rd December. 3rd Devamatha South India Inter-school Basketball Tournament,2011 there was also a friendly match conducted between the priest, veterans and parents.
As the programme came to an end, we had St. Joseph HSS, Thiruvananthapuram and Bharati, Erode in the First positions in boys and girls matches respectively.
