CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS

The birth of Jesus Christ was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 22nd December, 2010 by the tiny tots of Devamatha Kindergarten. The young ones were dressed up as Angels and Santa Claus. The wintry morning of the day lighted the hearts of the toddlers. The significance of Christmas was well delivered through the Christmas skit – Holy Night. Christmas carols were sung by the children and around 40 Santa Claus’ danced to cheer everyone gathered for the celebration.
The joyous celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. George Pius Ukken, CMI, Provincial of Devamatha Province. Rev.Fr. Shaiju Aloor, CMI, the Guest of Honor lit the symbolic candles of Christmas. The Special Guest of the day, Mr.Kumar Kalathil, a renowned magician captivated the children with his magic wand.

ART AND CRAFT EXHIBITION

The tiny tots created magic with their tiny fingers to bring out treasures from trash for the Art and Craft Exhibition. The exhibition held on 22nd December, 2010 was inaugurated by Rev.Fr. George Pius Ukken, CMI, Provincial of Devamatha Province. The children used waste materials like paper cups, ice-cream sticks, jute, cotton, paper plate etc to bring out eye-catching craft items.

TWINKLE TWINKLE X’MAS STAR

The tiny tots of Devamatha Kindergarten brought out their creativity and made their own dazzling and twinkling stars for the Kinderstar Competition, a sight to behold. The X’mas celebration which began from Dec – 1st will conclude on December 22nd with the Art and Craft Exhibition.

 

THE ADVENT

The festive season of joy and happiness of X’mas began with the Advent at Kindergarten on the 1st December. The Guest of the day, Rev. Fr. George Kallookaran CMI lit the four advent candles and placed the Holy Wreath. The tiny angels offered the symbolic gifts of X’mas. Rev. Fr. Shaju Edamana CMI, our principal, conveyed the message of the day.

CMI KALOLSAV - 2010

Devamatha CMI Kindergarten emerged as the Ist Runners-up at CMI Kalolsav-2010 held at Viswajyothi CMI Public School on 30th October 2010.

 

RAJAGIRI KIDS FEST-2010

13th November 2010 was a red letter day for Devamatha Kindergarten as we emerged as the Ist Runners-up among 50 schools at Rajagiri Kids Fest held at Rajagiri CMI Kindergarten.CMI Kindergarten

 

SAHODAYA KIDS FEST-2010

Celebrations galore at Devamatha Kindergarten and this time it was a hat-trick as the shining stars had proved their mettle for the third time this year. We emerged as the Ist Runners-up at Sahodaya Kids Fest held at Holy Grace Academy on 4th December 2010.

 

VISUAL IMPRINTS

Literacy through Visual media plays an important and effective role in today’s world of education. With regard to the concept of Visual and Accessible Visual Literacy, the parents of KG contributed LCD Televisions and DVD Players. This ambitious project was headed by the PTWA representatives Mr. Varkey Alapatt, Ms. Rose Paul, Mr. Antos and Ms. Mini. The project was inaugurated by cine star Ms. Meera Nandan on the occasion of Parents’ Day/ Children’s Day and Manager’s Day Celebrations held at Devamatha CMI Kindergarten on the 29th of November, 2010.

 

VIBRANT COLOURS OF RANGOLI 2010

Devamatha CMI Kindergarten celebrated Parents’ Day/ Children’s Day & Manager’s Day on the 29th of November, 2010. The moms and dads of KG enthusiastically put up a grand cultural extravaganza – RANGOLI 2010 for their little ones. Rev. Fr. Francis Kurissery CMI, Joint Director of Amala Institute of Medical Sciences inaugurated the grand celebration. Rev. Fr. George Pius Ukken, Provincial of Devamatha Province was the Guest of Honour. Celebrity Guest, Ms. Meera Nandan, captivated the audience with her gracious presence and melodious voice.

The children lovingly and whole heartedly greeted Rev. Fr. George Pius Ukken on the occasion of Manager’s Day with an album of Festal Greetings which they made with their own little hands.

 

FRESHERS’ DAY

Freshers’ Day was held on 16th June, 2010 was a colourful function to welcome and entertain the juniors of KG. The seniors of KG entertained them with lots of music and dance. Rev. Fr. Johnson Paliakara CMI graced the occasion and also entertained them with a rhyme.. The excited and exuberant juniors enjoyed the day.

 

A DAY WITH GRANDPA AND GRANDMA

Grandparents’ Day was an unparalleled opportunity for the children at Devamatha Kindergarten to celebrate the presence of the most adorable ones in the family i.e. the grandparents on 13th September, 2010. The grandparents had their share of singing songs, telling stories & much more. The children greeted them with red roses & presented them cards. Rev. Fr. John Tharayil, CMI presided over the auspicious function. The celebrations moved towards its beautiful ending, leaving everyone pleased and thrilled and the grandmothers served ‘Uniappam’ to their loved ones.
